Mr. Color AQUEOUS Series (Group)

Water-based hobby paints were introduced in 1982, designed to allow for safe and comfortable painting enjoyment at home.
In 2019, the main ingredient formula was revised for the first time in approximately 38 years, dramatically improving performance and safety. Now, even casual, professional-quality painting can be done at home.

H301-340 are special models for aircraft,
and H511-515 are special models for tanks.

<Product Features>

• This is a water-soluble acrylic resin paint that can be diluted with water. It uses less organic solvents compared to solvent-based acrylic resin paints, and uses milder solvents. As a result, the paint has a mild odor and is easy to handle.
  
• It becomes water-resistant after drying. Before drying, it can be diluted with water and tools can be cleaned. After drying, please clean with Mr. Tool Cleaner Kai or similar.
  
• The gloss and smoothness of the paint film are excellent.
   

<About Dilution and Number of Coats>

• For brush painting, dilution is generally not necessary. You can use it as is. If the viscosity is high, add a small amount of water or water-based hobby paint thinner to loosen it before use.
• When spraying with an airbrush, add about 1 part water-based hobby paint thinner to 1 part paint. (Dilution ratio of about 1:1) It is also possible to dilute with water, but if there is too much water, it will be more likely to be repelled by the surface. Also, the more water you add, the longer it will take to dry.
• For the number of coats, a beautiful finish can be achieved by applying 1-2 thin coats with a brush, or 2-3 thin coats with an airbrush. If the base color is dark and shows through the subsequent coats, apply additional coats as needed.
   

<How to adjust from gloss to semi-gloss/matte>
To make a glossy color matte, add 15% or more H40 Flat Base. To make it semi-gloss, add 5-10%.

 

<Changes from the previous specifications>

• Improved paint film strength and enhanced gloss finish quality.
  
• Improved drying speed.
• Due to changes in raw materials, the range of usable pigments has increased, and the use of pigments almost identical to those in Mr. Color has improved color reproduction (excluding blue pigments/metallic pigments, etc.). As a result, the color and gloss of some paints have been changed.

This paint contains organic solvents. Ensure good ventilation during and after use.
Do not mix with other model paints.
